This blue and white villa lying peacefully above Canyamel has stunning views of the bay. The Villa Esmeralda has five spacious bedrooms and can sleep up to ten people comfortably. It is unusual to find a holiday home of such generous proportions and is ideal for a family holiday where perhaps the grandparents wish to come along. A group of friends would also feel very comfortable here.

On entering the house a large open living room is immediately on the left with: an open fire, satellite TV and very attractive seating arrangements. Just around the corner is the eating area. Behind a counter there is a luxuriously equipped open kitchen containing: a ceramic cooking surface, an extractor hood, a dishwasher and an American fridge with ice-maker. Behind a screen there are both a washing machine and a tumble-dryer.

Glass doors from the living room as well from the eating area lead out onto an extensive terrace where an outside eating area offers wonderful views of the Mediterranean.

Back into the house in the entrance hall there is a guest toilet and a shower. From here a small staircase leads up to three bedrooms (all with aircondition). Each room has a different colour scheme. In the bedrooms there are two single beds that can also be pushed together as a double bed. The bathroom on this level has: a bath, a shower and a WC. On the floor below (entrance outside)there are also two further double bedrooms as well as two bathrooms each with a shower and a toilet. These bedrooms lead on to a large terrace through glass doors where there is a lemon tree. What better way to relax than to enjoy the sounds and smells of the lush garden while at the same time taking in the spectacular seascape.

The house has a friendly, airy atmosphere and the decor is very tasteful. Fine wooden furniture has been used and throughout the house there are artistic and cultural reminiscences of the owner s life in Africa The house has oil-fired central heating and is ideal for holidays outside the main tourist season when the island is quieter and more intimate.

Villa Esmeralda is just a few minutes walk away from Canyamel s sandy beach where you can hire sun beds and sunshades. In Canyamel itself there are bars, restaurants, cafés and supermarkets for all ones daily needs.

For those who wish to play golf there are no less than five golf courses in the near vicinity, Golf Canyamel, Alcanara, Golf Capdepera, Pula-Golf and the 9-hole course at Son Servera.

The historical towns of Capdepera with a castle from the Middle Ages and Artà also with a castle and a lovely market every Tuesday are not far away. Pollença, the town of artists and writers and Alcudia where there is a roman town complete with amphitheatre, are also well worth a visit.
