This extremely well cared for natural stone house with tasteful and stylish interiors lies in splendid grounds just outside the lovely town of Artà. Here up to six people can comfortably enjoy absolute peace and relaxation. A lovely drive takes you up to the almost completely barrier free building. The Finca El Palo is entered via an attractive entrance area from where there is access to the living room with a connected dining area. Large glass doors that fill the room with light also lead out onto the terrace. Up to eight people can dine comfortably at the solid wooden table in the dining area and cosy evenings can be spent on the smart but comfortable designer sofas in the living area. It goes without saying that there is stereo equipment and a DVD player as well as a flat screen TV with satellite dish reception. A generously designed kitchen with its own pantry adjoins the dining area. Here you will find: a ceramic cooking surface, an oven, a dishwasher, two fridges and all other necessary electrical equipment. The kitchen also accesses the terrace. There are three double bedrooms and three mosaic tiled bathrooms each with either a bath or a shower. Two of the bedrooms access the terrace and all bedrooms have light coloured, well designed, fitted wardrobes. Unusually lovely stone flooring with under floor heating is to be found throughout the house, making the house warm and comfortable even during the cooler times of the year. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer and on the terrace you will find a grill. All the water on the finca comes from its own well. Outside you will find tasteful garden furniture and sun beds. From the 7000 m2 of land where palm trees, evergreen oak,, lavender, mallow and bougainvillea all grow abundantly, there is a stunning view across to the hills of the Sierra de LLevant. The house does not have a pool, but whoever wishes for a swim will find numerous possibilities nearby. Between the coastal villages of Colónia de Sant Pere and Son Sierra de Marina there is a wide natural beach that is never overrun even at the height of the season and Cala Torta is worth a visit at least once if only for the superb views to be had on the way there. The house is also ideal for golfers as there are no less than five golf courses in the area: Canyamel, Golf Capdepera, Pula Golf; Alcanada and the 9 hole golf course in Son Servera all of which are no more than 15 minutes away. The centre of Artà is only 1, 5 km. in distance. The market place is the venue for the weekly market every Tuesday morning, a flea market every first Sunday in the month and in August the fiesta in celebration of the patron saint of the town. The town itself dates back in part to the Renaissance and has a well known church, San Salvador that perches above the town and is protected by the old town walls. It also has its own theatre where plays, concerts and cinema screenings are frequently held and the little theatre café is a very nice place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The nearby town of Capdapera with the remains of its medieval fortress and the attractive port at Cala Ratjada are also worth visiting. Artà itself offers everything you need on a daily basis and there are numerous restaurants. The pedestrian precinct and the side streets of the town are full of charming shops and galleries where you can find everything from art and artisan pieces, fashion, home accessories and local delicacies such as salt, olive oil and unusual varieties of vinegar.
