This Majorcan holiday home for two people lies in its own extensive grounds of almond, olive and fig trees on the top of a hill not far from Manacor. The name of the house, Ses Figueres, takes its name from the fig trees. Apart from the heavenly peace there are breathtaking views over the countryside of the north east of the island. On clear days you can see as far as the Sierra de Tramuntana. Casa Emilia was completed in March 2008 and lies about 150 metres away from Casa Antonio.

The house is light and airy and a number of glass doors have been installed so that the stunning panoramas can be enjoyed from each room. The interior is modern in design and wood has been incorporated as one of the main building materials. The effect of the glass doors is immediately felt in the bedroom where they seemingly allow the landscape right into the room. There is the one bedroom which is furnished with two separate beds.

Added to this there is a living cum dining area with an open kitchen and dining area for four people. Free Internet and SAT-TV are provided and a comfortable sofa to enjoy them from. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils as well as: a ceramic cooking surface with three hot-plates, a fridge with a deep-freeze compartment, a coffee maker and a water boiler. The bathroom is fitted with: a shower, a WC and a bidet and there is a washing machine in the store room. There is also a barbecue.

You can be wonderfully lazy on the large terrace with two sun beds and a sunshade. Bird song and sheep bells, the buzz of cicadas and the occasional dog barking are the only things to disturb your peace.

Manacor,the second largest town on the island, is about five kilometres away. Here you will find a variety of good shopping facilities. The idyllic surroundings are also excellent for walking or trips to places like the historic towns of Artà and Capdapera. The Mediterranean is just fifteen minutes drive away.
